What's in the template
This stock transfer log records one row per SKU: transfer ID, date, from-location, to-location, SKU, product name, quantity, unit of measure, who requested it, and status.
Because it's one row per SKU rather than one row per transfer, moving five different items between the same two locations in one trip becomes five rows sharing the same Transfer_ID — filter by Transfer_ID to see the full trip, or by To_Location to see everything a specific site has received.
Columns explained

Where a spreadsheet transfer log breaks down
Logging a transfer here does not touch either location's actual stock quantity — someone still has to manually subtract from the source location and add to the destination in your inventory list, and a transfer left "In Transit" with nobody following up is exactly the kind of gap that produces the mismatched, untraceable stock counts a full stock take eventually surfaces.
It also has no way to flag a transfer that arrived short — if 40 units left the source but only 38 arrived, this sheet has no field for that discrepancy unless you add one, and nothing prompts you to reconcile it.
