What a QR code actually stores for inventory

At very high scanning volumes, dedicated 1D laser scanners still edge out phone-camera QR scanning on raw speed, which is why busy shipping and receiving docks often keep 1D barcode hardware even after adopting QR codes elsewhere.
Print quality also matters more than the code format: a smudged, too-small, or low-contrast QR code fails to scan just as often as a poorly printed barcode, so label material and print resolution deserve the same attention as the code choice itself.
