A hardware store can carry many thousands of distinct SKUs—fasteners, fittings, hand tools, electrical parts, plumbing components—many of them small, similar-looking, and stored in dense bin systems. Knowing a category has "stock" isn't enough; staff and reorder logic need to know which specific bin, which specific size and thread, is actually running low.
